Gather on Sundays

Sundays at Central

Coming along to a church gathering for the first time can be daunting. But having an idea about what to expect can make it easier. We’d love to help you find your feet and introduce you to some of the family.

Our Sunday Gatherings are a chance to hang out and spend time worshipping God, read the Bible, listen to a talk and share some stories together. Everyone is welcome!

We have three gatherings on a Sunday at 9.15am, 10.30am & 7pm.

On the last Sunday of the month we have All Out Sundays where there are no Gatherings at Central Hall and we scatter across the city in our Communities. Find out more about this below.

9.15am

Join us for our shorter, more reflective Gathering. If you prefer a quieter gathering, this one’s for you.

10.30am

Come and share an informal time of worship, a talk and prayer. There are kids & youth programmes.

This Gathering is also livestreamed on YouTube.

7pm

Come along to our informal evening gathering for worship, a talk and chance to pray together. (This one is particularly popular with Students and Young Adults.)

All Out Sunday

On the last Sunday of each month, we have ‘All Out’ Sunday. On these Sundays, there are no usual Gatherings at Central Hall. Instead, we encourage our Communities to meet together in their local contexts. From prayer-walks and hospitality, through to litter picking, it’s totally up to each Community how they choose to spend this time.

Across this Sunday our church building is still used by our Communities, and we invite you to join us as we finish up the day in prayer and worship at our Presence night.

Not part of a Community yet? Take a look at our Communities page or get in touch to find out how to join one.

10.30 am – All Out Cafe

Operated by our Marchmont community on the last Sunday of the month, this is a space that provides a warm welcome, hot drinks and sweet treats alongside the chance to study the Bible and pray together.

10.30 am – Messy Church Cafe

On the last Sunday of the month, this is an intergenerational space to engage in a different style of worship through arts and crafts, alongside the All Out Cafe serving hot drinks and sweet treats.

1pm – Soul Food

A monthly free meal for those in need in our city. For more details or to join the team that serves at Soul Food, contact Sheena.

7pm – Presence Prayer & Worship

On the last Sunday of the month we also come together to worship, pray, and intercede together for our church and city. These are deep times of Spirit-filled encounter.
