What is internship?
Being an intern at Central is a fantastic opportunity to explore and practice your leadership gifting. It is a season to be developed in leadership, learning how to lead yourself and others in the vision God has given to this family of churches.
Through our internship programme we hope that you will grow in character, confidence in your identity, biblical understanding and missional vision for your life.
Our intern is focussed around core leadership development, with the opportunity for placements in different areas of church life, which include:
Kids, Youth, Students, Young Adults, Comms & Media, Creative, Communities, Care (Soul Food, Clothesbank+, CAP etc), Prayer & Prophecy, Worship, Gatherings, Refugees
What we offer
Part of your internship will involve specific discipleship and leadership training through Training Hub. Click on the button below to find out more.
Personal training / study
A personal programme of reading and study will be agreed with your line manager and additional training conferences will be identified throughout the year.
Interns will work under the day to day supervision of a staff member, and will have regular reviews during the year. They will meet weekly with the staff team and from time to time they will have opportunity for intern training with a member of the senior team.
Internships are possible for between 2 – 4 days per week, depending on the availability of the intern and the responsibility of the position. Interns will have a fairly structured weekly timetable that will be reviewed during the year.
Internship at Central costs around £800 (TBC). This fee covers your Training Hub place, as well as additional resources, training and input.
If you’ll find it difficult to cover this cost for whatever reason we would be really happy to discuss this with you and either offer support in raising the funds or in some circumstances we are able to reduce the cost in order to make it as accessible as possible.
Accommodation with a church family may be possible. Internships are offered on a part-time (min. 2 days a week) basis to enable additional part-time work.
Applications will open for 2024-25 in Spring 2024.
