Mental Health Courses

With the increasing prevalence of mental ill-health in our community and amongst the people using our Care services, Central will be offering two different mental health education courses over the coming months to equip our church family and give them the confidence to offer help.

Bereavement Care

As a church it is important to us that we walk with people in times of joy and in times of sorrow. One way that we do this is by offering The Bereavement Journey course several times throughout the year. The Bereavement Journey is intended to help those who have been bereaved through the loss of someone in their life, whether recently, or for many years. Grieving is processing loss, and often people do not have the courage, the support or the chance to look at what has happened to them in a safe environment. The Bereavement Journey provides this space. The course consists of times of video content as well as times of small group discussion. Although this course is offered by a church, it is open to everyone; you do not need to come from a faith perspective in order to participate.
